2025 Kenyon Awards-Top Gun and Heat Win Honors!
Kenyon Midget Series Awards Banquet 2025: A Season of Grit and Recognition
The 2025 season came to a close on a high note for Landon Brown Racing at the Kenyon Midget Series Awards Banquet, where Landon was honored with two major performance awards that highlighted the strength and consistency of the program.
Landon received the K&K Marketing “Top Gun” Award, recognizing the driver who accrued the most qualifying points throughout the season. He also earned the KRJ Heat Race Award for the most heat race wins in a single season—an achievement that speaks directly to preparation, speed, and execution when it mattered most.
Adding to the celebration, Landon capped off the evening by winning the awards banquet karting competition, putting an exclamation point on an already memorable night.
While the accolades were a tremendous honor, the season itself carried a bittersweet undertone. Landon was forced to miss the first four races of the year while recovering from a midget accident at the Rumble in Fort Wayne earlier in the season. Upon returning to competition, the team also faced two mechanical DNFs—factors that ultimately placed a significant asterisk next to what could have been a legitimate run at the season championship.
Despite those setbacks, the results tell an important story. To miss nearly a third of the season, endure mechanical issues, and still lead the series in qualifying performance and heat race wins is a testament to Landon’s resilience, preparation, and the strength of the team behind him.
All things considered, 2025 was a year of growth, determination, and proof of capability. The recognition earned at the awards banquet reflects not only what was accomplished—but what this program is capable of moving forward.
