Built on Racing. Driven by People.Jeff Hill Trailer Sales & the People Behind Our Program
In racing, relationships are everything. Some start with handshakes. Others start with competition.
Ours started at New Castle Motorsports Park — battling each other on track.
From Competitors to Connection
Jeff Hill and I first crossed paths in karting, racing in the same class. Like most in that paddock, we were friendly competitors — racing hard, respecting each other, but not especially close.
One moment still stands out.
Going into scoreboard corner, I made a move on Jeff that we still laugh about today — a pass that made it look like he was standing still. We’ve joked ever since that it might have had more to do with the kart than the driver… but I’ll take it.
At the time, it was just another race.
Looking back, it was the beginning of something much bigger.
The First Deal — And the First Impression
Later that year, after hearing how much fun Kyle Ford was having in the Kenyon Midget series, Landon and I decided to take the leap.
What started as buying one midget quickly turned into buying two.
And that meant one thing — we needed a bigger trailer.
That’s when Jeff reached out.
What stood out immediately wasn’t just that he had trailers — it was how he approached it. He walked me through exactly what we needed, took our existing trailer in on trade, and made the entire process simple and fair.
Delivery day came with extreme wind and a steep learning curve hauling a large trailer for the first time — but Jeff made sure we were set up the right way before we ever hit the road.
That experience told me everything I needed to know about how he does business.
From Business to Partnership
After our first partial season in the Kenyon Midget, it was clear we needed help.
We had the drive, but not the experience — especially when it came to setup, preparation, and the mechanical side of the program.
That’s when Jeff reached out again.
He brought us into something bigger — a team environment based out of Jeff Hill Trailer Sales, with full support from Jeff and Dave Simmermon handling car prep, transport, and trackside support.
It was a no-brainer.
And it immediately elevated everything we were doing.
The Difference Makers
Jeff and Dave don’t just support a race team — they build one.
Their approach is simple, but powerful:
Preparation is everything
Details matter
Do things the right way, every time
For us, that meant:
A properly prepared car every race
Guidance on setup and adjustments
Confidence walking into the track each weekend
And that translated directly into performance.
Landon improved rapidly, the team progressed together, and what started as a learning year turned into real results — including a podium finish and 2024 Rookie of the Year honors. The following year was even stronger with Landon landing 3 feature wins, multiple fast times and podium finishes as well as a win for teammate Kyle Sheard and multiple top fives and podiums for others on the team. Jeff Hill Trailer Sales Race Team was now the team to beat in the Kenyon Midget series!
Built the Right Way
What makes Jeff Hill Trailer Sales different is the same thing that makes Jeff and Dave successful in racing.
It’s not about volume.
It’s about doing things right.
Jeff built his business the same way he supports racing:
One relationship at a time
Through reputation and word of mouth
By standing behind everything he sells
He’s hands-on with every customer, takes the time to understand exactly what you need, and works to make sure you get the right trailer — not just any trailer.
If it needs to be custom-built, he’ll help design it.
If you’re not sure what you need, he’ll walk you through it.
And when you leave, you know you’ve been taken care of.
More Than Racing
More than anything, Jeff and Dave have become family.
The experiences we’ve shared over the last two years have meant everything to both me and Landon. From race weekends to long nights in the shop, it’s built something far deeper than just a race team.
If there’s one regret, it’s the distance.
Living a few hours apart has always been our biggest challenge — spending 2–3 hours on the road just to be with our racing family. But at the same time, that distance has created something valuable in its own way.
Those long drives have given me and Landon time together we wouldn’t trade for anything — countless conversations about racing, life, and everything in between.
And maybe that’s part of what makes this all so special.
The time apart makes the time together mean that much more.
Final Thought
If you’re looking for someone to buy a trailer from — Jeff is your guy.
If you want someone who understands racers, supports people, and stands behind everything he does — there’s no better choice.
And for us…
There’s no question.
We wouldn’t be here without Jeff Hill, Dave Simmermon, and everything they’ve built.
